Three Cetus
I presently have 2.5 Cetus 3D printers. That means two that work and one damaged by a lightning strike. Insurance replaced the broke one with new. About $300. They are not terribly expensive. Many 3D printers can cost 10 time that amount.
I am repairing the blown up Cetus. However, no guarantee. I have bought new all the repair parts out of my own pocket.. Far better to replace the entire printer than repair but I just can't throw away the old hardware. It's hopefully just the electronics that were fried.
New parts have to come from China, since it is the original Cetus and no parts are stocked in the USA. That may take a month as I figured it was not worth the cost of express delivery from China. I already have two working Cetus.
If the parts, power supply, main board, CPU board are all what's wrong, I will have a third operating Cetus.
Does that create an official "Cetus 3D Printer Farm?" I am not particularly fond of production printing but I will have the capacity to run 6 printers at the same time. Three of them almost identical Cetus. Two are shown in the picture. Left is "BigMamaCetus" with the heated build surface and auto level. The right side is "LittleMamaCetus" The new Mk3 with no frills. The original Cetus is out of picture, on the floor.
A problem will be where to set the original "MamaCetus" once she is repaired. I'll figure that out when the time comes. The floor is not appropriate.
